Coping with Today

For the last decade I have used trail running and beach running as a way to cope with what I like to call the daily crazies. Whether it is work stress, relationship pressures, or daily anxiety, having ways to fight back are critical, and the ability to do so impacts the trajectory of the day ahead guaranteed..

With the shelter in place and access to beaches and trails cut off in California, I had to adjust to our current reality, so I took it to the streets. I ordered my first pair of street running shoes, and this morning I went on my first long road run. Not surprisingly once I pushed through the initial pain the day ahead felt much more manageable than the blurred days of very recent memory.

In times of uncertainty remember the things you are certain of… For me; I know a run will change my day for the better. I know I need to find a way to run...
